Business ManagementDimensions of business management include (but are not limited to) capacity planning and forecasting, financial oversight and control, project portfolio management, business performance measurement, process management, governance and communication.This role will drive the day-to-day execution of business planning activities across multiple areas and ensure alignment with business strategy. Leads a team of experienced professionals to develop and execute strategies on behalf of our supported business areas.Business Managers may also lead business management projects that help to adopt best practices, standardize processes and improve efficiency across multiple dimensions of business management.Key Responsibilities and DutiesDevelop financial and other planning models to support business and budget planning, and cost/benefit analysis for business cases.

Partner with business leaders to manage expenses and track budget risks and opportunities.

Partner with business areas to develop mitigation plans for risks and opportunities as needed

Develop budget and other models to support multi-year planning.

Make meaningful recommendations to leaders to help drive business results.

Partner with the reporting team to help further develop the design, effectiveness and adoption of management systems reporting and forecasting.

Consult with business leaders to define and solve business problems as needed.Â

Problem solving: Within assigned duties, defines and discerns key aspects of a problem then develops integrated solution within a broad technical context. Uses in-depth knowledge of TIAA businesses and organization structure to ensure work is aligned with the business area strategy. Approaches tasks systematically and independently adapts work activities and behaviors to support changes in requirements from stakeholders.

Career Level9PLRequired Qualifications:5 or more years of financial services or Finance experience

Preferred Qualifications:Strong analytical skills with attention to detail

Management consulting experience including ability to manage multiple managers and teams

Strong written and verbal communication skills

Financial modeling experience with Excel or other related programs

Leadership or management experience

Experience collaborating with external business partners and influencing decisions
