OverviewWe are seeking an experienced and dynamic Senior Janitorial Project Manager to oversee and manage large-scale janitorial projects across multiple sites. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring the successful execution of all janitorial services, maintaining high standards of cleanliness, and leading a team of supervisors and janitorial staff. This role requires strong leadership, project management skills, and a deep understanding of janitorial operations in various environments, including commercial, industrial, and residential settings.Pay: $91,500.00The pay listed is the hourly range or the hourly rate for this position. A specific offer will vary based on the applicant’s experience, skills, abilities, geographic location, and alignment with market data.401(k) – You become eligible to make personal contributions beginning the first of the month following 30 days of employment. Project Management: Oversee the planning, execution, and completion of janitorial projects, ensuring that all work is completed on time, within budget, and to the highest standards of quality.
Team Leadership: Lead and manage a team of janitorial supervisors and staff, providing direction, training, and support to ensure optimal performance and adherence to safety protocols.
Client Relations: Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, addressing any concerns, ensuring customer satisfaction, and building long-term relationships. Regularly meet with clients to review project progress and performance.
Budget Management: Develop and manage project budgets, ensuring that all expenditures are tracked, controlled, and within the allocated budget. Identify cost-saving opportunities without compromising quality.
Quality Control: Implement and enforce quality control procedures to maintain high standards of cleanliness and sanitation across all projects. Conduct regular inspections to ensure compliance with client requirements and industry standards.
Safety Compliance: Ensure that all janitorial activities comply with local, state, and federal safety regulations. Promote a safe working environment for all employees, and address any safety issues promptly.
Staff Scheduling: Coordinate and manage staff schedules to ensure adequate coverage for all projects, including handling any staffing shortages or emergency needs. Ensure that staff is properly trained and equipped for their tasks.
Supply Management: Oversee the procurement and management of cleaning supplies and equipment, ensuring that all materials are available and in good working condition. Negotiate with vendors to secure the best prices and quality.
Problem-Solving: Quickly and effectively resolve any issues that arise during the course of a project, whether related to staff, equipment, or client concerns.
Reporting: Prepare and present detailed reports on project status, financial performance, and quality metrics to senior management and clients. Use data to drive improvements and inform decision-making.
Continuous Improvement: Identify and implement process improvements to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of janitorial operations. Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices to continuously elevate service quality.
Qualifications:
Education: High school diploma or equivalent required; a bachelor's degree in business management, facilities management, or a related field is preferred.
Experience: Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in janitorial management, with at least 3 years in a project management or senior supervisory role. Experience managing large-scale or multi-site janitorial operations is highly desirable.
Leadership: Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and guide a diverse workforce.
Project Management: Proven experience in managing large, complex projects, with the ability to meet deadlines and stay within budget.
Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with clients, staff, and senior management.
Problem-Solving: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to make quick, informed decisions in a fast-paced environment.
Technical Skills: Proficiency in project management software, Microsoft Office Suite, and familiarity with janitorial equipment and products.
Attention to Detail: High level of attention to detail, with a commitment to maintaining high standards of cleanliness and service quality.
Physical Requirements: Ability to perform physical tasks as needed, including walking, standing, and lifting supplies or equipment.
Work Environment:
Location: Primarily on-site at various client locations, with some time spent in an office setting. Travel between sites may be required.
Hours: Full-time position with flexibility to work evenings or weekends as needed to meet project demands.
