We are looking for back-end Java developers, web application architects with hardware systems experience that are passionate about this work and excited to contribute to the design and implementation of complex distributed scalable applications and infrastructure. What You'll Get to Do: Work on a ground and air system infrastructure for our customer that provides pre-mission configuration and post-mission data extraction and workflows, as well as general configuration management to support the war fighter.- Help develop roadmaps to ensure proper level of support to meet evolving customer needs
- Develop and maintain user and administrative documentation to meet customer contract requirements
- Travel onsite to periodically install and test operational systems and updates
- Work on a develop, maintain, and enhance a diverse software system
- Follow best practices for software development, such as scrum and use of Atlassian tools
- Execute the research, engineering, and development of solutions to support operational systems in a specified timeframe and budget
- Participate in code reviews and submit work which is subject to review by team members
- Refine and enhance existing applications to best meet customer/operational requirements
- Optimize operational software as necessary to meet continuously evolving cyber security
- Apply system level knowledge/analysis (OS/hardware) to diagnose issues and provide solutions
- Profile, analyze, and optimize legacy software system
- Work both remotely and in a professional and secure office environment

- Ability to obtain and maintain a TS/SCI security clearance
- Bachelor's (or higher) degree in Computer Engineering or Computer Science
- 7+ years of relevant work experience in software development
- Java backend development experience
- Advanced Linux system and scripting experience
- Solid understanding of software, complex design concepts, patterns, tools and best practices
- Understanding of embedded systems, distributed systems, and networking
- Proven delivery of production-grade applications, including security, diagnostics, maintainability, scalability, and auditing
- Understanding of software life-cycle management (and tools)
- Experience with Python and/or shell scripting
- TS/SCI security clearance
- PRIVAC
- Understanding of Disk drive technology and protocols
- Working knowledge of storage systems and associated technologies
- Understanding or Data At Rest Encryption systems
