The role has enterprise responsibilities for all areas of Network Services. This includes Operations, Projects, Budget, Contracts, Cloud services, full-time employees, managed services, Procurement process, and day to daycare and feed of the enterprise Network. The enterprise consist of 220 locations both domestic and internationalRESPONSIBILITIES Reports to the Network Services Director and will be responsible for all elements of Telecommunications, Data, Voice, Security, wireless, and Cloud services for the Sysco Enterprise
Manage and maintain all aspects of the Network, and associated projects
Prepare status reports for projects, operations, budget, and maintain the department strategy with long and short term objectives
Oversee all day to day network operations in all areas of responsibility
Lead a dynamic team of individuals that are direct-hire, contractors, and managed services companies
Oversee the team's development activities toward established milestones with a focus on, Enterprise and team level goals.
Oversee the training and growth aspects of the direct report full-time employees
Provide leadership and mentoring to a dynamic team of full-time employees that includes performance tracking.
Oversee team-based budget, track cost, enter purchase request, and forecast cost
Work with other teams at all levels that include operations, projects, MAC, Break-fix, Outages, Incident management, and 3rd party providers
Lead and oversee both simple to complex projects start to finish with proper documentation
Maintain highly advanced solutions to meet a broad spectrum of business needs
Work directly with telecommunication providers and vendors at all levels
Partner and work with 3rd party teams and vendors as needed to meet enterprise objectives
Operate as an SME and represent the Network Services team with the business and upper management
Lead efforts and determine technology-based solutions to meet business requirements enterprise-wide
Manage partner relationships between telecommunications carriers and vendors
Establish a communicate common goals, personal goals, and direction for staff
Prepare documentation to place orders with Vendors, Changes controls, Purchase Request, BOM's, Order circuits, and MAC for areas of responsibilities
Actively participant in major outages to drive outages to resolution
Represent the Network Services team with the business and all levels of management
Oversee the design, implement, maintain, recommend, and support local and remote portions of the Sysco Enterprise Network
Drive lifecycle strategies for your area of responsibility
Drive initiatives to provide value for day 2 support
Responsibilities include maintaining detailed project plans, scopes of work, diagrams, central team repositories, and other technical documentation
Provide timely status updates to customers, project managers, and all levels of management.
Report RCA's associated with incidents
Technical understanding of all LAN, WAN, QoS, Security, and DataCenter related operations
Participate in enterprise-level meeting with all levels of management
Represent Network services with various IT and business-based groups as a subject matter expert
Lead and perform complex problem isolation across the infrastructure
Lead and perform problem isolation with Telecommunication vendors (AT&T, TWC, Century Link, Verizon, Etc) and internal teams
Participate and Provide continuous research, assessment, recommendations, and implementation of new technologies as needed by the Sysco organization
Expected to be available 24X7X365 as required to maintain the enterprise infrastructure
Oversee an enterprise infrastructure On-call rotation for the team
Lead implementation efforts across the enterprise and ensure that projects are executed according to design, within project timeframes, and budget
Develops and recommends strategies for growth, direction, and other enhancements by maximizing the functionality of the infrastructure.
Conduct, research, and recommend solutions as it relates to capacity planning for the enterprise network.
Support the campus environments as required and locations nationwide
Point of contact for managed service providers
Manage and Oversee managed service providers
Develop an operational process to services the Sysco Enterprise
Maintain tools that support enterprise environments worldwide.
Additional duties as assigned by the Network Services Leadership
QUALIFICATIONS EducationBachelor's Degree, or equivalent experience,
ExperienceTen or more year's previous experience required.
Certifications of Cisco products, and/or other related products is a plus
Understanding and experience of managing large enterprise environments
Proven leadership skills and management.
Professional SkillsPrior Management knowledge and skills in larger enterprise environments (Fortune 500's)
7 years of experience in a leadership role with Ten years experience in Networking
Ability to create business cases and operational process
Ability to create and manage forecast, and budgets
Understanding of the ITIL model and standardized process
Knowledge of Cisco Systems solutions in the areas of LAN, WAN, Security, and WiFi
Overall knowledge of Network Security and content filtering solutions
Large Scale Cisco Enterprise WAN's and LAN's
Provisioning and circuit ordering
Knowledge Telecommunication providers.
Complete understanding of QoS and is tagging parameters
Experience in large enterprise environments (500+ sites)
Possess a high degree of professionalism, customer service, and dependable.
Ability to apply a comprehensive and in-depth knowledge of technical concepts, practices, and procedures.
Solid written and verbal communication.
Ability to work in a remote capacity.
Ability to work in a team environment
Certificates, Licenses, and RegistrationsCertificates such as CCNP (Cisco Certified Network Professional), CCIE (Cisco Certified Internetwork Expert), and/or MCSE preferred
