Location: Austin, TX (Remote) Job DescriptionOur client is a medical device company that is world-leading in their field.

Job DescriptionThe Senior Project Manager is a critical function within the Project Management Office. This person is part of the project delivery cycle of the PMO and must understand and work within the established methodologies, policies, and procedures to successfully deliver complex projects.

Responsibilities & Requirements
  • Provide direction and leadership to all resources in the performance of project assignments and activities
  • Determine project scope and guide development of detailed requirements, based on a thorough understanding of the business goals and objectives, as well as user needs
  • Develop and track project budgets (reported monthly) that include necessary capital expenditures, operational expenses, and labor requirements
  • Develop project schedules (WBS) in MS Project and/or in PPM platform, prepare meeting minutes/agendas, and track all project action items to successful completion
  • Collaborate with business stakeholders and technical delivery teams to ensure thorough planning of design, implementation, and testing in accordance with project objectives
  • Maintain adherence to the established IT Project Governance framework and SDLC from project initiation to completion, while utilizing the appropriate project methodology (primarily waterfall)
  • Identify and coordinate solutions to complex problems considering resources, human and system capacity, and limitations
  • Effectively communicate and work with business users, analysts, project leads, developers, and all levels of management across the enterprise in a fast-paced environment
  • Demonstrable experience at building detailed dependency-based project schedules using MS Project is required
  • BS level education or equivalent in a related field plus a minimum of 8 years of related experience is required
  • Minimum of 8 years of enterprise technology platforms, infrastructure, software development and business application implementation project management experience is required
  • Experience communicating with cross-functional teams and being the champion for business technology projects
  • Strong planning, communication (both in-person and via remote technology), negotiation, leadership, and relationship-building skills
  • Must be able to multi-task, work with minimal supervision, have strong attention to detail and excellent time management skills to ensure all established deadlines are achieved
  • Candidates must possess a strong work ethic, excellent interpersonal skills, a high drive to succeed and be above all, a problem solver
  • Applicant must have a positive attitude towards change. Able to identify the need, remove the barriers, and has the know-how to make things happen. Values diversity of ideas, opinions, and people
  • Experience with waterfall project methodology required; knowledge in other methodologies a plus
  • Experience in implementation of enterprise-level supply chain and warehouse management system initiatives strongly preferred
  • Experience with developing and implementing OCM plans is a plus
  • Large-scale ERP implementation project management experience is a plus
  • Technology project management in a healthcare environment is a plus.

Qualifications
  • Typically requires a BS level education or equivalent in a related field with 8 or more years of related experience
  • Proficiency in one or more industry-standard PPM tools (e.g. PlanView, MS Project Server, CA Technologies)
  • Experience in project delivery of technology solutions
  • Strong planning, communication (both in-person and via remote technology), negotiation, leadership, and relationship-building skills
  • PMP certification strongly preferred.
