OverviewWe’re in need of a communications superstar with excellent writing skills and a knack for creativity who can inform and engage our 25,000+ Playmakers (aka Topgolf Associates). This position will have high visibility throughout the company and will work with people from every team within Topgolf.Responsibilities
Contribute to and maintain corporate communications calendar and activities
Create companywide announcements to be used across communications channels
Ensure consistent messaging throughout internal communications across different parts of the company
Use measurement methods and data-based insight to adjust strategy and plans to communication goals
Understand the strategy behind each communication and balance that with what the audience needs to know and how they want to consume it
Serve as a subject matter expert for best practices in grammar, messaging, writing and style, as well as content creation, distribution and maintenance
Collaborate with Playmakers across the company to promote internal messaging and news
Act as project manager for major communications initiatives
Serve as a producer on internal company videos as needed
Help plan and facilitate quarterly companywide meetings
Qualifications
Bachelor and/or Master’s degree in Communications, Journalism, English preferred
3+ years Corporate or agency role where a primary focus was writing and editing for different channels
1+ years Experience in video production/editing, and graphic design is a plus
Must be able to handle confidential information with discretion
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail with the ability to handle multiple projects and deadlines at once
Superb knowledge of AP writing style and its application
Effective time-management skills and the ability to work both in a team-oriented environment and independently with little direct supervision
Creative and critical thinking to develop global communications strategies across multiple audience segments
Ability to adjust writing tone and style based on communication – must be able to communicate important messaging in a casual, approachable tone
Exceptional writing, editing and prooing skills
Self-motivated, self-starter
Ability to communicate clearly and effectively, both orally and in writing, at all levels within and outside the organization
Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships throughout the company
Confidence and comfort collaborating with Playmakers at all levels of the organization and advising on communications strategies and plans
