Description: Job Title: Sr. Spvr, Logistics (Depot) ManagerJob Location: Waco TexasSummary:Logistics Manager is responsible for overseeing the warehouse and fulfillment of aircraft, ground support parts and equipment for CONUS and OCONUS sites with high operations and maintenance tempo. This includes, the receiving, storing and shipping functions, overseeing all employees assigned to the warehouse. Must maintain a safe, clean working environment.Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Schedules and manages 100% inventories, and cycle counts. Must be able to complete reconciliations to ensure stock and bin accuracy.
Oversea the day to day operations of warehouse, including freight, returns, shipping, receiving, parcels, and transfers.
Responsible for the safe use of material handling equipment, reach fork trucks, swing reach trucks, forklifts, pallet jacks.
Lead and advance warehouse team to deliver excellent customer service
Responsible for training new hires. Identifies training needs for current employees and coordinates a training schedule with Program Management Office (PMO) based on those needs. May include site specific requirements,such as:
Tracking and scheduling shipments, building up 463L pallets to meet Mobility Air Command standards, forklift certification, etc.
Ensures that procedures and policies are followed in accordance with established Standard Operating Procedures along with company policies.
Tracks specific individual metrics for use in performance evaluation. Develops reports and reviews for each logisticians.
Works hand in hand with PMO Management to ensure that logistical concerns are addressed optimally.
Maintains work schedule and communicates any changes to the proper channels. Assigns job specific task to each logistician.
Additional duties may be required as directed by Management.
Minimum Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in related field of study.
The applicant must have a minimum of five (5) years management experience and possess excellent managerial skills.
Six (6) years of diverse warehouse, logistics experience required. However, military training and eight (8) years of directly related experience may substitute in lieu of degree.
Aviation supply knowledge preferred
Experience leading a warehouse team including; hiring, training and motivating
Strong problem solving skills
SAP experience is highly desirable
Applicant must be a US citizen and able to obtain and maintain secret level security clearance.
The applicant must a minimum of three (3) years management experience and possess excellent managerial skills.
Excellent verbal, oral, and writing communication skills required.
Must have a current driver’s license.
Computer / Automation Equipment Skills: Must be proficient with the MS Office suite (e.g., Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, and Outlook) and be able to operate general office equipment (e.g., copiers, faxes, calculators, etc.).
Position requires the ability to obtain and maintain a DoD security clearance which requires U.S. citizenship.
