Description: Lockheed Martin is seeking a Senior Supplier Quality Engineer in support of both HIMARS and M270 Launcher programs stationed at Red River Army Depot with travel (up to 25%) to other locations as required.The Senior Supplier Quality Engineer will utilize technical expertise and soft skills to serve as the integration and resolution point between suppliers and government providers, internal stakeholders (e.g., supply chain, operations, quality, engineering and / or program management) and customers and/or their representatives (e.g., DCMA).The successful candidate will have previous quality engineering experience in developing and reviewing quality standards, methods, work instructions and procedures for the development and production of manufactured and procured products.The successful candidate will have experience and / or knowledge of depot type maintenance and / or production shop floor operations, SAP ERP system, inventory management and control methods to ensure adequate accountability and traceability, customer and supplier problem resolution, and shop floor and / or depot operations.Scope of responsibilities will include providing support to:Root cause, corrective, and preventive action investigation / determinations / validations and documentation, performing quality data analysis, conducting / coordinating process and product evaluations, identifying risks / opportunities and developing / overseeing improvement and engagement plans.Perform technical evaluations including product requirements, specifications, models / designs, drawings, and procedures.Engage in supplier selection process and maintain certification programs.Collaborate with program management, engineering, manufacturing, supply chain and customers on quality related issues to ensure quality standards are in place.Engages in product failure investigations, material review board decisions and corrective / preventive action.Ensures corrective measures meet acceptable reliability standards and/or are compliant with requirements.Develops strategies and systems designed to improve internal and / or supplier performance and productivity.Evaluates quality systems for deficiency identification and correction.Performs assessments and audits on processes and procedures to ensure compliance to specifications, engineering drawings, procedures and ISO-9001 / AS9100.Designs and analyzes inspection and testing processes, mechanisms and equipment. Effort may include Quality Plan / Procedure development by creating, coordinating and updating quality related processes and procedures (e.g., inspection guidelines, incoming inspection instructions, source inspection checklists) to effectively prevent and detect product defects.Performance Management by providing quality related data, metrics and trends from production, service, supplier, or process improvement activities with reporting via Quality Metrics Dashboards, Tableau reports, Corrective Action Boards, etc. Effort includes analyzing and interpreting data and metrics in a manner that leads to actionable intelligence and continuous improvement.QMS Continuous Improvement by supporting projects that reduce cost and schedule of quality tasks and / or improve quality performance.Basic Qualifications:STEM Degree from an accredited college at the Bachelor level or aboveMust be a US Citizen and have the ability to obtain a security clearance.Ability to read and interpret blueprints and specifications and apply knowledge in troubleshooting technical issues and in developing/validating solutions.Experience in quality engagement and oversight with ability to identify root cause and execute on corrective actions utilizing quantitative / qualitative analytical capabilities and data driven methodologies.Knowledgeable of AS9100 and ISO 9001 Quality Management Systems standards and implementation of Quality Management System.Experience developing quality related work instructions/procedures/plans.Experience with documentation and disposition of nonconformance including root cause analysis and corrective action support.Shop floor (e.g., manufacturing, integration, inspection, audit, and/or test) experience in production and / or depot environment).Ability to travel.
