Description Robert Half is actively looking for an accomplished Senior Accountant for a short-term contract / temporary opportunity. As a Senior Accountant, you will be responsible for account analysis and reconciliations, financial statement preparation and consolidation, cash flow analysis, budgets and forecasting, audit preparation, and internal control maintenance and regulatory reporting. Build analysis on financial results (trends, performance metrics, benchmarks)
Formulate Balance Sheet account reconciliations
Carry out monthly accounting close procedures and deliverables (journal entries, reconciliations, reports) in compliance with GAAP
Dedication to continuously improve the automation of the accounting and reporting process
Other projects as required
Assist in coordinating quarterly reviews and testing with internal and external auditors
Participate in various initiatives spanning multiple departments
Ready monthly consolidated P& L and Balance Sheet flux analysis for management reporting
Operate with business partners to create compliance with corporate accounting policies, procedures and controls and provide support on special requests Requirements - 3+ years of overall general accounting experience
Proven ability to work and communication well with manager-level associates
Aptitude for analyzing financial data and generating accurate reports in a timely manner
Seizes opportunities to produce results without direct supervision
Ability to prioritize work and balance multiple projects and deadlines
Sharp, analytical thinking abilities, always seeking to draw connections and identify the "why"
BA/BS in Accounting, CPA credentials are preferred
ERP system experience
Demonstrated ability to work in a dynamic and constantly changing company environment
Familiarity with corporate performance management (CPM) and business intelligence systems required
Strong time management and organizational skills
Must be proficient and able to complete various financial reporting tasks
Journal entries experience highly desired
Demonstrated knowledge of month end closings
Practical knowledge of SAP
Solid understanding of account reconciliation
General ledger experience preferred
Balance Sheet Reconciliation experience preferred
Deep understanding of bank reconciliations
Adeptness in Microsoft Excel
General familiarity with Oracle
Experience in SOX control execution/documentation
