In this role, you will prepare journal entries, monthly and year-end closings, bank reconciliation, fixed asset maintenance, and general ledger reconciliation and be responsible for many aspects of internal reporting during the monthly close. This role is a great opportunity for someone who wants to participate in compliance, interact with our external auditors for quarterly reviews and annual audits, and review schedules reporting processes. Become well-versed in month end balance sheet account reconciliations
Organize and review various financial data, then report it in a manner that is useful and understandable
Partake in various department-wide initiatives
Periodically maintain and reconcile journal entries
Impromptu reporting and special projects, when requested
Handle intercompany transactions, billings, and reconciliation
Maintain, implement, and adhere to internal controls while ensuring that accounting procedures comply with GAAP
Arrange schedules for capital lease and monthly payments
Prepare complex journal entries and account reconciliations including but not limited to cash, prepaid expenses and payroll
Oversee depreciation, fixed asset ledgers, and reconciliation
Compose journal entries and conduct the month end close with minimal supervision
Assist with the month end, quarter end and year end closing process by preparing monthly financial close workbooks
Produce analyses for monthly balance sheets and income statements for reporting by management

1+ years of recent and relevant accounting experience
Strong organizational, written and verbal communication skills required
Strong attention to detail
Exceptional analytical, quantitative and social skills
Working knowledge of spreadsheets and databases
Self-starter, ability to identify issues and resolve problems
Comfortable working in a changing and dynamic environment
BA/BS or equivalent in Accounting, Finance or Economics
Annual External Audit experience preferred
Journal entries experience required
Proficiency in Month-end Close Activities
Experience with Balance Sheet Account Reconciliation
Solid understanding of University Degree
Ability to work within spreadsheets and databases
