Candidates with the ability to to prepare journal entries, monthly and year-end closings, bank reconciliation, fixed asset maintenance, and general ledger reconciliation and be responsible for many aspects of internal reporting during the monthly close will be preferred. If you think you can participate in compliance, interact with our external auditors for quarterly reviews and annual audits, and review schedules reporting processes, this role might be right for you. Contribute to the implementation, maintenance and adherence to internal controls and accounting procedures ensuring compliance with GAAP
Survey and organize various financial data, reporting it in a useful and understandable manner
Intercompany billings, transactions, and reconciliation
Arrange schedules for capital lease and monthly payments
Upon request, take part in special projects and impromptu reporting
Prepare monthly financial close workbooks to support the month end, quarter end and year end closing process
Become well-versed in month end balance sheet account reconciliations
Prepare analyses for monthly balance sheets and income statements for management to report on
Recurring journal entries maintenance and reconciliation
Take part in various department-wide initiatives
Produce journal entries and perform the month end close under minimal supervision
Assemble journal entries and thorough account reconciliations that include, but are not limited to, cash, prepaid expenses, and payroll
Maintain depreciation, fixed asset ledgers, and reconciliation Requirements - Dedication and requisite skills to meet critical business deadlines
Demonstrated analytical abilities, tendency to quickly connect dots and surmise logical outcomes
Experience with US GAAP
Reporting for multiple locations experience
Knowledge of Restaurant industry
Adeptness in month end closings
Restaurant operations experience
Comprehensive knowledge of journal entries
Knowledgeable of ERP systems
Self-starter and strong ethical standards
Recent and relevant accounting experience
Demonstrated ability to work in a dynamic and constantly changing company environment
Mature organizational, written and verbal communication skills
Attentive, ability to work independently and prioritize tasks
Ability to work within spreadsheets and databases
Spreadsheet and database capabilities
BA/BS or equivalent in Accounting, Finance or Economics
