Description Robert Half is looking for an experienced Staff Accountant with an eye for accuracy to fill a position at a growing Real Estate - Developers company. As a Staff Accountant, you will prepare journal entries, monthly and year-end closings, bank reconciliation, fixed asset maintenance and general ledger reconciliation. You will have responsibility for many aspects of internal reporting during the monthly close. You will promote the development and implementation of accounting policies. In addition, you will take part in compliance, communicate with our external auditors for quarterly reviews and annual audits, and review schedules for the reporting processes. This very involved position works to produce Cash Flow projections, Financial Statements, and Budgets. Oversee the creation of monthly balance sheet and income statement analyses for reporting to management
Ad-hoc tasks and special projects, as needed
Participate in various initiatives spanning multiple departments
Partake in annual closing processes
Execute month end close, journal entries, with little supervision
Support capital lease and monthly payment schedules
Commentate on a wide variety of financial data and communicate it in a useful and understandable manner
Keep up fixed asset ledger, depreciation, and reconciliation
Ready complex journal entries and account reconciliations including but not limited to cash, prepaid expenses and payroll
Support implementation, maintenance and adherence to internal controls and accounting procedures ensuring compliance with GAA
Requirements - Mature organizational, written and verbal communication skills
BA/BS or equivalent in Accounting, Finance or Economics
Detailed and have the ability work independently
Distinguished analytical, quantitative and social skills
Working knowledge of spreadsheets and databases
Efficient in ERP systems
Proficient with spreadsheets and databases
Recent and relevant accounting experience
Comfortable working in a changing and dynamic environment
Self-starter, ability to identify issues and resolve problems
Ability and willingness to meet business critical deadlines
Account reconciliation experience desired
Proven knowledge of NetSuite
Financial statement preparation experience
Command of Bank Account Reconciliation
Proficiency in Balance Sheet Reconciliation
Financial Statement experience preferred
