Description We are in search of a Staff Accountant to join our team in the Oil & Gas industry, based in Pasadena, Texas. This role involves a range of tasks, including credit card reconciliations, processing journal entries, and handling end-of-month duties. This position offers a long-term contract employment opportunity.Responsibilities: Conduct credit card reconciliations for a large number of employees Process, review and book journal entries in an accurate manner Handle end-of-month close procedures efficiently Perform accrual accounting tasks and manage accruals Undertake filing and copying duties as required Use Sage 100, VLOOKUP and Pivot Table for various accounting tasks Carry out other duties as assigned by the management team.Requirements Possess a minimum of 2 years of experience in the field of accounting. Proficient in Accrual Accounting and Accruals. Demonstrated ability to carry out Month End Close procedures. Skilled in Account Reconciliation. Proficiency in using Sage 100 accounting software. Familiarity with VLOOKUP function in Excel. Experience with Pivot Table in Excel. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Excellent communication and organizational skills. Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field preferred. Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or Certified Management Accountant (CMA) certification is a plus. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines. Knowledge of financial regulations and standards. High attention to detail and accuracy.
