Description We are looking for a meticulous Staff Accountant to join our client based in Aubrey, Texas. In this role, you will be responsible for various accounting functions, including processing and approval of purchase orders, handling accounts payable and receivable, and preparing financial statements. This role offers a contract to hire employment opportunity.Responsibilities: Efficiently process customer credit applications Maintain accurate customer credit records Resolve customer inquiries in a timely manner Monitor customer accounts and take appropriate action Perform bank and credit card reconciliations Prepare financial statements for multiple company divisions Handle accounts payable, including entering AP and check cutting Manage accounts receivable and ensure accurate record keeping Conduct general ledger and journal entries tasks Perform month-end close proceduresRequirements Must hold a bachelor's degree in Accounting. Must have 5+ years in full-cycle accounting. Proficiency in systems like NetSuite, QuickBooks or Sage. Demonstrable experience with Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) is necessary. Must be skilled in performing Bank Reconciliations. Knowledge of General Ledger and Journal Entries is crucial. Experience with Month End Close procedures is mandatory. Excellent analytical skills with an attention to detail. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Good organizational skills with the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously. High level of integrity and professionalism.
