AZZ has an exciting opportunity for a Staff Accountant at our Fort Worth Texas corporate office. Reporting to the Corporate Accounting Manager, you’ll be responsible for performing day-to-day functions for the corporate accounting department. This position works closely with the corporate business units to ensure accounting issues are appropriately identified, analyzed, documented, and resolved.Duties and ResponsibilitiesAssists Accounting Department with month end closing of the general ledger, A/R, AP, & purchasing modules. Posts journal entries, preparation of various reconciliations including prepaids, insurance, and bank statement. Answers questions from business units and complete special assignments and projects as they arise.   Supports general ledger function, A/R, A/P and payroll as needed.Ensures SOX compliance and SEC regulations where applicable.
