• The L3 Storage/BUR Engineer must have a solid understanding of the principles and concepts of Storage ecosystem, SAN/Storage architectures and usage as well as specific product usage and configuration.
• S/he will demonstrate an in depth understanding of several products in more than one functional area involving usage, configuration, and interaction with other products.
• Core hands on experience on 3PAR, MSA, VMAX, VNX, DD.
• Creating RAID Groups, binding LUNs, Creating Meta LUNs, Creating Storage Groups, and Registering hosts as per customer Requirements
• Hands on experience on Configure Zoning on Brocade /CISCO Switches
• Experience in zoning/un-zoning using CLI & GUI on SAN fabics.
• Creating & Assigning Volumes to hosts based on guidelines.
• Create and modify host connections to storage devices.
• Initial configuration of storage devices including Array, rank, pool creation
• Create & manage thin-provisioned volumes & configuring threshold alerts based on customer requirements.
• Perform basic troubleshooting of storage to host connectivity including host side HBA card card status & multipath driver recommendations.
• Perform SAN port activities like enabling, disabling, change of speed & mode.
• Perform Fabric troubleshooting & port error analysis.
• Perform storage Replication configurations.
• Plan and coordinate for storage firmware upgrade activities involving multipath validations & pre-checks in heterogeneous environments.
• Able to raise case with Vendor / OEM for hardware failures & critical cases and should be able to escalate as required.
• Able to handle migrations from legacy arrays to Enterprise arrays in both File & Block.
• Good work experience on Storage Basic Concepts & SAN administration with minimum three skills mentioned below.

• EMC 3PAR, VMAX, VNX
• HP MSA

• Brocade SAN Administration.
• Replication Technologies

• Monitor health status, capacity, and performance of Storage systems.
• Perform device configuration backup/restore.
• Check and advise for new firmware releases and implement upgrade
• Expand physical storage capacity
• Add, remove, resize LUN
• Install additional modules/components
• Storage assignments
• Raid group configuration
• Add or remove Licenses
• Zone configurations
• Enable or Disable Switch or Blades or Ports
• Creation of CPG’s
• Grow/Tune/modify/deletion of VLUNs/VVs/CPGs
• Creation of VV’s ( FPVV, TPVV, TDVV)
• Creation of Virtual Volume Set
• Creation of VLUNs
• Storage Reclamation
• Tune volumes with DO
• Configuring AO Tiers
• Creation/modification/deletion of Physical Copy/Virtual Copy/Snapshots
• Creation of Consistency Group Virtual copies
• Remote Copy Operations
• Performance tuning based on recommendation
• Monitor Backup health status and availability
• Monitor success of client backup schedule and fix errors
• Perform restore test: 1 full server
• Perform data and OS restore from backup
• Perform device configuration backup and restore.
• Configuration changes Backup or Archiving

• Ideal candidate will be certified in at least one or two Storage/SAN/NAS technology.
