Actalent Engineering is seeking a Supervisor of Transmission Line Engineering to join a nationally based engineering firm quickly growing in the renewables space to support a variety of utilities across the US. The Supervisor of Transmission Line Engineering will help grow their local team of Transmission Line Engineers and provide QA/QC on projects ranging mostly from 69kV- 230kV, with some data center projects up to 750kV. The Supervisor will need to stamp their team's drawings, so a PE license is required. EIT's will be considered for leadership as well. This is a long-term opportunity to join an engineering firm backed by multi-billion dollar investors nationally in wind, solar, and battery storage as well as data centers. Responsibilities:

Engineer and provide QA/QC on transmission lines that are safe, economical, and adhere to accepted engineering practice and standards.

Ability to lead Schedule Review Meetings with all project participants and to coordinate requirements to ensure resources are focused on the right project activities.

Communicate and coordinate with internal and external departments to achieve resolution of project activities.

Issue all project deliverables in a timely manner.

Provide support, advice, and training to design and engineer staff as required to assist in the proper discharge of their duties.

Qualifications:

7+ years of experience in Transmission Line Engineering

The ability to calculate forces acting on structures and equipment, resolve geometric and trigonometric problems to calculate geographical position and direction of forces.

Must be able to provide training and QA/QC on complex assignments involving a wide variety of situations requiring sound judgment.

Requires familiarity with computer-based tools to efficiently complete day-to-day assignments: PLS-CADD/Pole, LPile, MFad, STAAD, Risa 3D, Microstation, etc.

PE required (EIT considered) and willingness to provide EOR stamp
