Employee focused.JOB SUMMARYJob Profile SummarySupervises and directs employees engaged in activities related to operation and maintenance of oil, natural gas and gas liquid processing facilities. Performs specialized engineering duties related to processing facilities and/or estimating, designing and coordinating processing facility construction projects.Essential Functions and Responsibilities

Supervise, direct and/or assist employees performing operations and maintenance activities on processing plant equipment

Analyze and evaluate various processing facility systems and make recommendations for improvements related to capacity, operating costs and system operation

Direct, perform and/or approve engineering activities relative to design of company processing facilities, including but not limited to:

Distillation processes

Refrigeration systems

Pumps and compressors

Heaters, boilers and heat exchangers

Vessels, tanks, and piping

Cooling towers and water treatment

Treating processes

Compositional Analysis

Measurement facilities

Pressure relief systems and flares

Process controls and safety instrumented systems

Storage cavern and brine systems

Truck and rail loading/unloading systems

Compile, prepare and/or analyze various reports and correspondence, including but not limited to:

Process Safety Management (PSM) documentation

Regulatory compliance documentation

O&M capital budgets

Measurement documentation

Balance reports

Authorization for expenses (AFE’s)

Plant production reports

Construction drawings and maps

Chromatograph printouts

Provide technical and/or engineering assistance to management, employees, governmental/regulatory personnel, contractors, producers, manufacturers and others on matters, including but not limited to:

Equipment/system design

Process control

Facility design, construction, operation and maintenance

Policies and procedures

Research, analyze, prepare and/or approve information, including but not limited to:

Engineering studies

Governmental rules, regulations, codes and standards

Process analyses and recommendations

Project bid proposals

Construction and/or measurement contracts

Cost estimates

Material specifications/selections

Responsibilities may include Department of Transportation (DOT) covered functions, including operations, maintenance, or emergency response on a pipeline. Job duties also require the employee to be alert and respond immediately to dangerous or hazardous conditions, and where impaired performance, or failure to follow safety precautions, could result in serious injury or property damage.

Education

Bachelor's Degree in engineering with an equivalent combination of formal education and the following job related experience:

Work Experience

Experience identifying, researching, evaluating and prioritizing operational problems or specific situations and determining appropriate action/response

Experience researching and preparing project material and design specifications, contracts, agreements, budgets, engineering studies and various reports, forms and correspondence

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

Knowledge of: processing plant operations and related facilities design, construction, operation and maintenance projects

Knowledge of: computers and applicable spreadsheet and word processing software such as Microsoft Excel and Word

Knowledge of: gas and liquid processing fundamentals, company/governmental operating and safety procedures, emergency response procedures, safe handling of flammable gases, liquids and high-pressure systems, thermodynamics, fluid mechanics, chemistry and chemical reactions, thermodynamics, chemistry and chemical reactions, heat exchange, heat and material balance, pressure relief systems and flares, process control, and mass transfer

Knowledge of: monitor processing activities and situations to ensure compliance with safety policies and procedures

Knowledge of: people to interact, negotiate, advise and communicate effectively. Experience developing information and making presentations to groups and individuals

Knowledge of: supervise, direct and/or delegate work assignments. Knowledge of personnel policies and procedures

Knowledge of: compile and prepare reports, recommendations and correspondence

Knowledge of: read and understand governmental regulations, references, journals, construction plans, blueprints, contracts, manuals, reports, specifications and correspondence and use that knowledge to develop and complete projects

Knowledge of: communicate and/or exchange verbal information or instruction

Ability to: apply math, algebraic formulas, statistical methods and calculus

Ability to: operate tools and equipment required
