Collinwood is assisting our client, a leading food manufacturer, in their efforts to hire a

Supply Chain IT Specialist. The IT Specialist reports to the US Regional Support IT Manager (Supply Chain & Manufacturing), and actively participate in project execution, implementation, and the support of Supply Chain and Manufacturing business process solutions. Attention to quality and a strong customer service orientation while working in partnership with the business is key.

(Please note that this role can be based in Dallas or Milwaukee) The IT Regional Support role will focus on value-add activities that drive the adoption of common processes and tools, increase returns on enterprise-wide technology investments, and deliver against business objectives. This position will also have responsibility for collaborating with Key Users across the business to identify and prioritize continuous improvement opportunities that further leverage IT capabilities and enhance business performance/benefits company-wide.

Scope of work includes providing SAP support for functional and technical localized systems (heritage systems), working in close coordination with business stakeholders and all major IT functions, and supporting IT execution in alignment to business and IT strategy.

On an ongoing basis, the Specialist will work with division stakeholders to translate business needs into requirements, work with the manager and Core IT team to evaluate options, and develop project plans including implementation estimates. The specialist will engage other core IT functions to ensure IT enabling solutions to achieve business objectives and are compatible, secure, and compliant with global IT standards. This person will also work with our client's global IT PMO to confirm alignment with global IT priorities, plans, and resource commitments.

Our ideal candidate will have strong business acumen, technology competency, project delivery experience, and influence/communication skills acting as a change agent. An asset is proven knowledge of SAP, Microsoft, and IoT technologies that are current and progressing in the market.

What you will be doing:
  • Supports IT activity base for Supply Chain, Manufacturing, and/or Transportation Management in alignment with business strategy, priorities, and goals
  • Builds and maintains highly effective working relationships with business stakeholders, the Key User community, and the ERP Application Domain leaders within Global IT.
  • Engages with Business Process Owners (BPOs), Key Users (KUs), and global IT to help identify and prioritize continuous improvement opportunities; works with business and IT teams to drive efficiencies and promote leading practices while leveraging existing technology investments.
  • Works with the Regional Support team to identify and recommend continuous improvement opportunities to management.
  • Facilitates use of common ERP processes, tools, and digital technologies
  • Provides support for sustainment of Key User Network and delivery of change to the business
  • Fosters relationship/partnership with the business, gains in-depth knowledge of the operations, identifies IT challenges or opportunities
  • Leads and/or supports project initiatives at regional and global levels as appropriate and applicable considering scope, complexity, knowledge, experience, and domain expertise
  • Works with business and global IT to gather requirements, formalize deliverables, define and coordinate resources, and provide input to project scope and outcomes
  • Actively participates in IT incident prioritization/resolution and assessing change requests
  • Works with 3rd party service providers including contractors/consultancy as required
  • Develops and maintains documentation for sustainment of localized systems and platforms

What we need from you:
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent in commerce, computer science, or information technology
  • Working knowledge of SAP Transportation Management (TM), and/or GTS, Procurement and Manufacturing modules
  • Experience in the food manufacturing sector supporting multi-platform environments;
  • Working knowledge of IT/OT technologies is an asset (data management, automation, IoT, industrial PLC devices)
  • Strong business acumen, strong influence, persuasion, and change management skills
  • Proven success in executing cross-functional initiatives in a medium-large scale business
  • Strong written/oral communication skills at all levels in the organization
  • Organized with strong prioritization and time management skills
  • Adept at building relationships with internal teams and external partners
  • Strong ability to operate in a complex, fast pace project environment with interdependencies spanning multiple work streams, teams, business divisions, geographies, time zones, & languages
  • Bilingual – English (a must) and Spanish (preferred)
