System Engineer Irving, TX Contract Must have experience in Windows + IIS (Application support) and Cloud is added as an advantage. Job Duties:
- Manage a mixed Windows and Linux server environment
- Deploy new web servers and web applications, and maintain existing web applications
- Configure DNS, firewall, WAF, and load balancer to ensure customers can access applications
- Schedule maintenance tasks such as patching and verifying application functionality after maintenance is complete
- Participate in an on-call team rotation for after-hours support
- Maintain Jenkins, Terraform and Ansible pipeline scripts used to manage cloud environments
- Provide support for third-party applications, including SAS and Tableau
- Work with the business to review needs and strategies and understand implications to the architecture, server, network, storage and backup processes
- Minimum of 5 years of experience supporting servers and web applications.
- Experience with managing Windows Server and Active Directory
- Experience configuring and managing web applications with IIS or other web server software
- Experience with web server load balancing using F5 Big-IP or equivalent load balancer
- Experience configuring and managing web application firewalls such as Imperva Incapsula
- Basic understanding of DNS, networking, and the steps involved in a customer reaching a web server
- Experience using PowerShell or another scripting language to automate IT administration tasks
