Job Description Summary

MAXIMUS is seeking a Systems Administrator. This person focuses on Active Directory and Messaging/Exchange and performs system administrative functions on an enterprise level Active Directory domain, including software support functions, patching, and tuning. Installs, configures, troubleshoots, diagnoses, and resolves problems with Microsoft Active Directory 2019 and Exchange 2019.

Essential Duties:•Manage and maintain day to day functionality and operation of Exchange on premise environment•Perform system backups and recovery•Maintain data files and monitor system configuration to ensure data integrity•Monitor use of resources•Produce IT Security artifacts, business reports, data call reports, forms, etc.•Conduct cumulative, security, and critical security updates to servers during scheduled patch events•Responsible for operating, managing, processing, provisioning, and troubleshooting enterprise email, unified communications, mobile and collaboration services•Administer and maintain enterprise email (Microsoft Exchange) unified communications (MS Skype) and other collaboration services•Maintain and manage operating email routing devices and services including Barracuda ESG and Archiver, and other Edge devices•Administer enterprise mobility services such as XenMobile and other commercial mobile device management systems•Provide security hardening to critical messaging systems•Configure, manage, troubleshoot and secure Active Directory organizations units and group policy•Provide compliance related techniques and tools, often involving security, message retention/recovery/archiving•Assist with future Exchange migration•Troubleshoot, analyze and provide technical root cause analysis (RCA)•Must have working experience of retention policies, different type of connectors, mail filtering/hygiene solution, Microsoft Exchange Edge server and Active Directory, OWA•Good knowledge of Mail Archiving solution, troubleshooting and configuration of Anti-spam, SPF, DMARC, DKIM, Address client connectivity, Address service availability issues within the organizational span of control•Manage services using the supplier, and the client implemented ITIL processes and practices•Configures application-specific attributes for Active Directory-enabled and -integrated applications •SSL/PKI administration internal, external and public•Performs managing and monitoring replication•Performs configuring forest-wide Lightweight Directory Access Protocol (LDAP) settings•Manages domain and domain controller security policies•Configures directory service parameters•Performs Active Directory administration in accordance with best-practices regarding privacy, security, and regulatory compliance.•Develops, documents, and maintains policies, procedures and associated training plans for Active Directory and related features/roles and their appropriate use.•To provide support for on-call escalations and doing incident & problem management•Work on value-adding activities such Knowledge base update & management, Training refreshers, coaching analysts•To participate or contribute to the business in the creation of proposals

Education and Experience:•At least three (3) years of Active Directory system administration experience required•At least three (3) years of Microsoft Exchange system administration experience required•Ability to take ownership of issues, escalating incidents to other support teams where necessary•Highly motivated team player with the skills and ability to manage changing priorities•Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to communicate effectively with technical and non-technical colleagues at all levels in the organization•Ability to create, maintain and publish relevant support documentation in order to assist all staff in the quick resolution of their incidents and service requests and enable users to become more self-sufficient•Ability to undertake other necessary duties not specifically stated without altering the nature or level of responsibility•Ability to quickly learn, understand and explain technical information

Pay Transparency

Maximus compensation is based on various factors including but not limited to job location, a candidate's education, training, experience, expected quality and quantity of work, required travel (if any), external market and internal value analysis including seniority and merit systems, as well as internal pay alignment.
