Genuent is seeking a Systems Engineer for our direct client. This position is remote, and candidates can be located anywhere in the US. Systems Engineer Direct-Hire Overview:The Systems Engineer is responsible for and knowledgeable in supporting aspects of design, deployment, and management of technologies to include Windows Server, Active Directory, Hybrid exchange and Email security platforms, Server monitoring, Virtual Server management, Enterprise Storage Technology, Network routing, Disaster Recovery, Cloud Technology (SaaS, PaaS, IaaS), Azure Tenant, Microsoft M365 suite and administration, Microsoft Security, and compliance platforms, M365. Responsibilities:
- Deploy and manage infrastructure solutions on premise and/or cloud technologies
- Lead/Work on system initiatives and new projects
- Tier I - Tier III Support for all infrastructure systems
- Works with IT staff to determine specific needs and how to best implement technical solutions
- Analyzes and resolves network-related issues and responds to issues in a timely manner
- Must be able to work independently to troubleshoot, perform root cause analysis, identify, and isolate technical issues
- Conduct after-hours maintenance as needed
- Resolve all escalated support tickets
- Involved in the design and configuration process of new systems and technology
- Bachelor s Degree (preferred) or equivalent experience, 10 years of relevant IT experience
- 5+ years working as a Systems / Network Engineer
- Experience with Exchange/Exchange Online architecture, services, and support
- Deep understanding of all aspects of administering and maintaining corporate networking and systems infrastructure, including MPLS, VPN, network connectivity, Internet access, exchange, servers, etc.
- Must have ability to communicate complex technical problems concisely and professionally to technical and non-technical audiences
- Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator
- PowerShell or other scripting language a plus
- VMware - ESXi administration and support
