Systems Engineers might be interested in this immediate job with Robert Half in San Antonio, Texas basis! Our Systems Engineer hire should be a key contributor to the maintenance and optimization of the client's network and wireless infrastructure. This is a long-term contract / temporary to hire opportunity. Submit an application for this position now!Major responsibilities- Type and continue custom scripts to increase system efficiency and lower the human intervention time on any tasks- Ensure 2nd and 3rd level support- Coordinate with vendors and other IT personnel for problem resolution- Head and keep a close watch on all installed systems and infrastructure- Sustain backup, redundancy strategies, and security- Keep an eye on and test application performance for potential bottlenecks, discern possible solutions, and concur with developers to put into practice those fixes- Be actively involved to assure the highest levels of systems and infrastructure availability- Be involved the design of information and operational support systems- Test, configure, install, and maintain application software, system management tools, and operating systems Requirements - We are particularly looking for candidates who have experience with virtualization and containerization- Adeptness in Operating System- Proficiency in Application Installations- Foundational knowledge in Application Virtualization- Solid understanding of TCP/IP- Networking experience- Containers experience highly desired - Solid networking knowledge - Solid scripting skills- 3+ years of relevant experience - You might be a good fit for this position if you have experience with automation software - This position will be the best fit for a candidate who has experience with monitoring systems - Applicants with proven working experience in installing, configuring and troubleshooting various operating systems are preferred - You might be a good fit for this position if you have solid experience in the administration and performance tuning of application stacks Technology Doesn't Change the World, People Do.®Robert Half is the world's first and largest specialized talent solutions firm that connects highly qualified job seekers to opportunities at great companies.
