This position is for a person highly motivated and passionate about space exploration, who is ready to step into and be part of the Gateway Program as a Systems Engineer. The Gateway, a vital component of NASA’s Artemis program, will serve as a multi-purpose outpost orbiting the Moon that provides essential support for long-term human return to the lunar surface and serves as a staging point for deep space exploration. NASA is working with commercial and international partners to establish the Gateway. Support Gateway fault model generation and general systems engineering decision making for automated fault actions. Will work with TEAMS-RT model-based inference engine software. Will work with a team of engineers and modelers and be responsible for integration of fault management strategy across a distributed, hierarchical Gateway control architecture. Required:

- Prior experience in model based system design/specification
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Bachelor degree in Engineering
- Background in spacecraft systems
- Fault management experience (e.g., FMEAs, FMECAs, etc.)
- Software development experience
- Experience with developing fault tolerant control systems
- Broad understanding across Systems Engineering Disciplines specifically Systems Engineering and Integration, Requirements Development, Test Operations, Assembly and Integration, and Test and Verification
- Experience with large system Verification and Validation planning and execution for aerospace systems.
- Experience with the NASA Systems Development Lifecycle, Life Cycle Reviews, and associated products
- Experience working in a team environment
