- Design and develop system-level architecture for complex electronics systems, including rack builds, while considering power planes and other safety considerations.
- Manage the Bill of Materials (BOM) for 100+ components, ensuring accurate documentation and tracking.
- Troubleshoot custom systems and provide guidance to the technician/build team during tester builds and bringups.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including hardware, software, and firmware engineers, to ensure successful integration and performance of the overall system.
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices related to hardware system design.
- Participate in design reviews, provide technical expertise, and contribute to the continuous improvement of the product development process.
- Collaborate with customers and vendors to understand their requirements and provide technical support as needed.
- BS/MS degree in Electrical/Computer Engineering.
- 5-10 years of experience in hardware system design and rack build experience.
- Strong understanding of system-level architecture, power planes, and safety considerations in developing complex systems.
- Experience managing BOM.
- Ability to troubleshoot custom systems and provide guidance to the technician/build team during tester builds and bringups.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams, customers, and vendors.
- Knowledge of industry standards and regulations related to hardware design.
