Job SummaryA Systems Engineer will deploy, maintain, upgrade and provide support for the Data Center Infrastructure that includes the Virtual environments and peripherals. The System Engineer needs to be able to evaluate existing technologies, business requirements, business processes and emerging technologies to develop solutions that meet the needs of the business and IT services. This includes script development, system integration through API’s, KPI reporting and the use automation technologies. The individual must be able professionally communicate technical concerns and solutions to peers, end users and management with varying degrees of technical knowledge.Systems Engineers will be responsible for the ownership, maintenance, documentation and reporting of core IT services, systems and system performance. Individuals will manage escalations from the Systems Administration Team and work with management on the implementation and delivery of solutions and services. Some travel with overnight stays may be required.Current Environment Nutanix F5 Load ballancers CitrixRubrik for Backup's Azure Cloud O365 everything Mostly Windows - (one application on Linux)70% Project work 30% high level ticketsNo on call for first 6 months, after that 1 week every 3 months (as we add to team less often of course) Requirements:- 5+ years of System Admin experience
- 2+ years’ experience of Systems Engineer experience
- Windows and Linux
- Strong virtualization experience - Nutanix preferred
- Previous experience in an Azure environment
- SCOM and SCCM administrative experience
- Deploy/troubleshooting of F5
- Scripting / Automation experience - PowerShell and/or VB preferred
- Strong with Application integrations, troubleshooting, etc.
- Network experience
- O365
Additional experience:- Financial industry or banking experience
- Any Microsoft and/or Virtualization certifications
