Job Description
Vericast is looking for an Engineer who can design, create, update, and support a set of complex systems that enable business capabilities. They will work within the business to implement new technology while securing and maintaining the existing infrastructure. This position requires both Security Operations and Windows System Engineering experience.
KEY DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIESMaintain up-to-date, detailed knowledge of the IT security industry including awareness of new or improved security solutions and policies, processes, and procedures.
Maintains general understanding of various computer systems, networking, and architecture
Participates on initiatives with deliverables and meets quality standards on time
Participates in cross-functional initiatives with deliverables and meets quality standards on time
Creates and maintains System Design Documents. Develops reports. Provides estimates on work efforts.
Responsible for both project type work and fulfilling end user requests.
Provides on call support as required.
Qualifications
Qualifications:EDUCATIONBachelor's degree in related field of study, or Certification, or some combination of additional years of related experience.
EXPERIENCE2 or more years prior hands-on experience with InfoSec or related field preferred
1 or more years experience with managing PKI/SSL Certificate management
1 or more years experience with vulnerability management and remediation
Experience with tools such as HCL BigFix, Zscaler ZIA/ZPA, Venafi Certificate Management, Thales DSM, OneIdentity Safeguard are a plus
Experience with administration and troubleshooting of Microsoft components of Active Directory, Account/group administration, Domain Name System (DNS), Dynamic Host Configuration Protocol (DHCP), Group Policy and File backup/restore operations in large environments
Basic understanding of regulatory and compliance mandates, including but not limited to HIPAA, PCI, Sarbanes-Oxley.
KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/ABILITIESAnalyze, identify, and resolve complex technical problems.
Proactively ensure the highest levels of system and infrastructure availability.
Maintains knowledge of data security strategies.
COMMUNICATION AND CONTACTSCommunicates directly with internal and external customers.
