Together, we are building a better world, so we can all enjoy living in it.Job Summary:The purpose of this position is to provide day-to-day leadership of the assigned team to ensure the team safely and efficiently performs the activities related to the assembly, logistics, or quality of Caterpillar engines. Team Leaders report to Section Managers and will be assigned to departments within the business to meet customer and company demands in Seguin, TX.What you will do:

Support manufacturing engineers – tool test, prototypes, NPI/CPI projects, program changes

Provide leadership and assist with the training of Production Technicians

Delivering work assignments as directed by Section Manager daily and assisting with special projects

Ability to fill any position and complete any task within the assigned team

Ensure that parts and materials used in the assembly process are free from quality defects

Assist other departments with problem solving or improvement ideas related to assembly

Accurate and efficient delivery and removal of materials

Submit and assist with the resolution of C.P.S. Continuous Improvement cards

Follow standard operating procedures and area specific work instructions

Communicate effectively with the team and across other departments

All other duties as assigned

What you will have:

Ability to work well with others

Ability to maintain and lead a team of 6 or more team members

Intermediate level proficiency with Microsoft Office applications

Basic Knowledge of Standard Assembly tools and applications

Excellent communication skills (both written and verbal)

Able to read engine blueprints

What would make you a top candidate:

1 year of supervisory experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment

1 – 2 years of experience in Assembly, Operations or Quality

Shift and/or value stream flexibility

Physical Requirements  (with or without reasonable accommodation):

Ability to sit or stand for prolonged periods

Ability to perform repetitive operations

Ability to lift to 35 lbs.
