Job Description:iSphere is looking for Educational Technical Lead Analysts in the Plano area for a 14+ month opportunity with comprehensive SDLC knowledge in K-12 business systems / functions (in particular PowerSchool/Aeries Student Information Systems) and backend data schema to assist our client in building integrations, customizations, APIs, plug-ins and reporting development. These individuals will serve as lead developers to work within an internal school districts IT development team to build out their Student Management Data Solution product. These individuals will work with Business SMEs and internal school district IT development team to define future state requirements, processes, data mapping / data migration to support and facilitate the implementation and roll-out of a Student Management/ Data Solution product. The Educational Technical Analyst position is a critical role to meet the needs of our clients and be a trusted-advisor for iSphere Innovative Partners.

Responsibilities:
  • Works collaboratively with clients/business owners to develop business requirements; conducts analysis and understanding of business functionality & practices to integrate processes and system functionality into the SIS.
  • Works collaboratively with SIS SMEs and vendor’s process consultants in resolving challenging business solutions via the SIS.
  • Ability to work in an Agile / Scrum development environment (Scrum Master Lead plus)
  • Advise / Assist in setup of environments (staging, configuration/ development, testing and production)
  • Data Mapping and Data Migration
  • Define requirements, processes, and provide design, development documentation
  • Innovate and develop APIs/ enhancements that provide solutions based on the needs assessments from the client / customers.
  • Create, implement and support Integration, Customization efforts.
  • Creation of APIs, Plug-Ins and Power Queries for integration internal systems and 3rd party applications
  • Development of Reports or Ad-hoc Reporting capabilities / tools
  • Additional duties as defined by management
Qualifications:
  • Ability to work in an Agile / Scrum development environment
  • Minimum 7+ years in the IT industry, preferably with experience in an educational institution or educational software/consulting
  • Previous experience developing and incorporating enhancements to software applications
  • Web development including HTML 5, CSS, JavaScript, JQuery, JSON, Angular JS, PHP, Python, .Net, C#
  • Experience with Oracle and Microsoft SQL
  • SDLC experience
  • Nice to have: PowerShell, Active Directory, ETL, Web Application Framework experience
  • Outstanding organization skills and attention to detail; good written and oral communication skills
  • Extremely flexible with strong work ethic to accommodate high level of multiple responsibilities
  • Experience as a PowerSchool Administrator and PowerSchool customization portfolio added benefit
