Houston, Texas Downtown area is searching for a Technical Business Analyst that has a passion for using data to solve difficult, business-critical problems, to join this company’s commodities and global markets technology team.This company is looking for a Technical Business Analyst to drive achieve business outcomes, with an eye for detail, and exceptional communication skills. The Technical Business Analyst will become an integral part of their software development team. The Technical Business Analyst and the team will be building the company’s next generation finance systems, transforming their platform and processes, and delivering trusted, timely data. This company is embarking on an ambitious programmer of work to modernize their existing product offering and develop new best of breed and cloud native capabilities.The Technical Business Analyst will work in an agile environment, helping to define and manage the backlog, work with stakeholders to understand and document the outcomes and ensure the business and functional requirements are clear. The Technical Business Analyst will analyze data sources to map and source data inputs, and build data models, work with the company’s teams to acquire, test and validate, and transform new data and continuously identify opportunities to improve.Must haves:- Solid background in SQL and Python programming.
- Strong understanding of Cloud – preferably AWS.
- Industry experience in financial services or banking.
- U.S. Citizens and those authorized to work in the U.S. are encouraged to apply.
- Unable to work C2C, C2B or B2B with third party vendors, RPOs or consultants
- Prior experience in Product Owner, Business Analyst, Technical Analyst, Software Developer, or related roles in the Financial Services Industry.
- Financial markets, including financial products
- Front to back system flows and product lifecycles
- Data modelling and analysis
- Experienced developing in SQL and Python
- Commodities and Global Markets experience focusing on Gas and the Power markets
- Post trade life cycle workflows and risk control
- AWS, relational and NoSQL databases
- Object oriented programming
