We are looking for Technical Project Controls Specialist II - IT for our DIRECT client in Austin, TX. It is a 1 year+ contract position Below is the job description for the position. Position Title-Technical Project Controls Specialist II - IT Location- Austin, TX,Only candidates for 100% on site work will be considered Duration- Till September 30, 2022 Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Engineering, Construction Management, Computer Science, Project Management or a related field. Related experience may be substituted on a year-for-year basis up to four (4) years.
  • Four (4) years of progressively responsible experience performing project control functions for capital projects.
  • Demonstrated proficiency using various software tools, such as Microsoft Project, Microsoft Office, SharePoint, and other Project Management systems.
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification preferred.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
  • Knowledge of project management methods, principles, and practices including risk analysis, scope control, and quality assurance.
  • Excellent organization abilities, analytical skills and communication skills including the ability to effectively communicate technical information to a non-technical audience.
  • Be self-motivated and seek opportunities for continuous improvement of project management. Be a catalyst and a willing participant of organizational changes.
  • Ability to work independently; as well as, in a team environment in a matrix organization, partnering well with employees, management, users, business areas, vendors, contractors and undertake duties and tasks as assigned without close supervision.
  • Ability to be a positive and constructive contributor in a team-based environment.
  • Knowledge of public procurement practices, recordkeeping and management.
  • Ability to work on multiple projects and prioritize tasks as needed.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to effectively communicate orally and in writing.
  • Ability to work and interact on a professional basis with supervisors, co-workers, contractors, stakeholders, government entities, and the public in general.
  • Ability to develop and maintain effective working relationships and to work in a team environment.
  • Must be detail oriented, thorough and well-organized.
  • Ability to prepare and deliver presentations.
