As a Project Manager with CBRE, you will have the opportunity to work closely with fellow CBRE employees to understand our client’s needs and responsible for managing the scope of work and client expectations for small and medium-scale projects to include financials, customer satisfaction, milestones, tasks, and issues or concerns.

Key Responsibilities:

Smart Building Project Management / Scrum Master (80%)
  • Simultaneously manage multiple small to large-sized projects for various IT project types with a focus on Smart Building technology.
  • Define & manage project scope, schedule, and resources based on Client’s expectations.
  • Lead & oversee Technology implementation for client for Smart Building and/or Facility Management technology solutions.
  • Document the clients requirements by collaborating with the project team, and managing these requirements with multiple vendors
  • Guide team in effective Scrum practices and principles to create value and increase customer and stakeholder satisfaction
  • Support Product Manager(s) in refining and maintaining product backlog
  • Facilities scrum events and other meetings as required (Daily Scrum, Sprint Planning, Sprint Review (Showcase), Product Increment (PI) Planning
  • Tracks metrics as needed for progress reporting and rollup to leadership
  • Risk Management - Document and manage a Risk Management Plan to be used throughout the delivery of the project for risk acceptance, avoidance, and mitigation.
  • Resource Management - Manage and liaise with multiple technology partners that support unique technologies in the smart building portfolio.
  • Conduct and participate in scheduled conference calls, creating and maintaining meeting minutes and project updates.
  • Manage day-to-day operational aspects of a project, constantly monitoring and reporting progress to stakeholders.
  • Coordinate and manage change order requests to achieve project goals/milestones.

Facilities Management Technical Integrations (20%)
  • Provide general and standard reporting and analytics to FM Operations team by using FM applications in reporting capacity, design and building reports and analytics.
  • Provide various analytics, performance reporting, pre-evaluations at recurring frequencies or ad-hoc as defined by client and/or team leadership
  • Partners with manager and internal CBRE teams to gather input/feedback on assigned initiatives. May interface with clients with manager oversite
  • Assist in the development of process documentation for review by manager
  • Provide input and support into draft version of governance documentation
  • Provide support to related projects as required
  • Provide general and standard FM system reporting and analytics into budget analysis

Additional Responsibilities:
  • Facilitate Project Team and Client meetings effectively.
  • Hold regular status meetings/calls with Project Team, communicating relevant project information.
  • Resolve and/or escalate issues in a timely fashion.
  • Ensure project documents are complete, current, and stored appropriately.
  • Suggest areas for improvement in internal processes along with possible solutions.
  • Comply with and helps to enforce standard policies and procedures.

Qualifications

Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States without the need for visa sponsorship now or in the future

Business Development
  • Bachelor’s degree or higher preferred
  • PMP certification desired.
  • CSM certification desired
  • Minimum of 2 - 5 years of project management experience,
  • 2+ years of Scrum experience
  • Experience managing the hardware installations, software integrations and development, Facility Management technical operations desired
  • Experience with Smart Building Technology desired
Skills
  • Strong knowledge of the project life cycle with expert abilities in project planning/execution, understanding risk assessment, and control project financials/closing
  • Scrum best practices
  • Understanding and ability to manage within Agile collaboration environment and tools (JIRA, Confluence, etc.)
  • Strong familiarity with project management software, such as Microsoft Project Server and Microsoft Project
  • Project Management principles
  • General understanding of Building Automation Systems (BAS / BMS) desired
  • Familiar with IoT solutions
  • Experience with IT construction projects
  • Outstanding degree of work ethic and professionalism
  • Ability to maintain an awareness of new and emerging technologies and the potential application on Client engagements

Physical Demands/Working Conditions:

Duties are performed primarily in an office setting. Operates computer and standard office equipment, such as telephone and copier/printer. Employee must be at to sit, climb or balance, hear, use hands, taste/smell, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, stand, walk, talk, and reach with hands and arms.

Travel:
  • Position may require travel and temporary relocation up to a month as required for specific work-related projects.
  • Approximately 20% travel required to locations for project work
