A great client of the HT Group is seeking a Technical Sales Support for a direct hire position in Austin, Texas. This is a hybrid schedule. Located in North Austin. The primary responsibility of this position is to provide technical and product expertise to clients sales organization and document those activities and associated scopes of work for the order management process of the company.

Responsibilities:Provide technical assistance to the sales force beyond the scope of field sales personnelDevelop systems concepts (including one-line diagrams) that provide sound solutions for customer needs utilizing AP equipment and, where required equipment from 3rd party vendorsDevelop scope of work for projects in conjunction with customers and engineersConduct site inspections to gather information required to determine scope of work and provide information for systems solution designsExplain benefits, advantages, and features of the company products and servicesPrepare, or assist sales personnel prepare, proposals and quotationsDevelop technical strategies and tactics to develop solutions for customersInfluence project specificationsDevelop long-term consultative relationships with customers and engineersHelps sales staff qualify projects from a technical standpoint with regard to applicability of AP equipment and servicesPrepare formal bids including pricing, specification and contractual terms compliance documents and any other supporting documentation required. Get input from other company departments as required. Assure that the company has the ability to perform as bid while achieving company gross margin guidelinesSpecify and obtain costs and lead times for ancillary equipmentAssist project management with projects on an as needed basis.Address SPRs (Special Project Requests) according to the SPR procedure.Document bids, scopes of work, SPR solutions, in detail so that all information necessary for the company to fulfill orders profitably, within promised lead times and in accordance with company policies while meeting customer expectations.

Qualifications:Education Requirements:Bachelor's in electrical engineering or demonstrated knowledge and understanding of UPS systems and their application.

Experience:Minimum of 3 years' experience with 3 phase UPS or similar high-value specialized electrical equipment and systems with focus on end user solutions and influencing consulting engineersJourneyman electrician experience preferredAutoCAD experience required

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:Computer skills including Windows, MS office suite & outlook, use of internet for communications and researchExcellent verbal and written communication skills are neededKnowledge of the structure and management of construction projects requiredRequired Understanding of electrical fundamentalsRequired working knowledge of National Electrical Codes and standards applicable to electrical power in the US
