Summary: Assembles electronic components, subassemblies, products or systems by performing the duties below. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Include the following.Will require intermediate Soldering (including surface mount), excellent wire crimping and stripping skills.Willingness to assist production in all aspects of product development (electrical and mechanical). Always keeps work area clean and safe. Keeps track of assigned tools and stores them in toolbox when not in use.Performs other duties as assigned. Education/Experience:This level requires a minimum of one year of electronics technician/mechanical assembly experience. Experience must include Soldering, crimping, and familiarity with commonly used manufacturing processes. Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:Ability to read and interpret documents such as schematics, diagrams, safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to complete routine forms or reports. Ability to speak effectively to co-workers and customers. Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to solder, measure accurately, test and assemble electronic, electrical, and/or mechanical components. Ability to wire, troubleshoot, use equipment in a machine shop, and work with RF cables and fiber optics. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form. Working knowledge of MS Office and the ability to learn any company-specific software. Certificates and Licenses:Soldering certification required. Significant soldering experience may be substituted for certification.
