Beacon Hill Technologies is seeking a Tier II Desktop/Network Support Technician for a contract to hire opportunity with one of our clients in the construction industry. In this role, you will be based from their McKinney , TX office and will be responsible for supporting any and all IT support issues for the employees at that location as well as setting up LAN networks for new construction sites in surrounding area. In addition, you will have the opportunity to travel to jobsites around TX to visit and support users on site. The majority of these sits visits will be in and around Dallas, but you could also travel to AZ, Arkansas, and/or Colorado based on need and availability and possibly out of state once brought perm. You will be responsible for configuring networking equipment (Cisco/Fortinet), mounting/installing networking equipment at new jobsites, testing IP Configurations of carriers when provided to make for a smooth install. You will also support users with any issues on their computers as well as mobile devices (mainly iOS). You will be responsible Network troubleshooting when things don't work as well as troubleshooting level 2 issues with users deskside/face to face that can't be resolved via their outsourced helpdesk/first call resolution MSP. Our client is willing to train on O365 administration once trained for one off scenarios when supporting users, mostly around email and collaboration connectivity issues. You'll be responsible for creating tickets for work completed as well as when not working on jobsite items, looking at the helpdesk queue to see if there is any tickets they can assist users with. We're seeking someone with strong relationship building skills and a mentality of no job is too big or too small. We're envisioning this role to be 50% network administration (LAN) focused on connectivity and troubleshooting focused and 50% end user support with day to day issues.
