The Operational Services organization at Schwab partners with teams across the firm to deliver on service promises to Schwab clients. We are responsible for best-in-class service, protecting and safeguarding the assets of the firm and our clients, all while increasing scalability and efficiency. Within Operational Services, the Transformation Solutions Team (TST) is a cross-functional group that is helping to drive transformation across Operational Services and the broader firm. TST stewards Schwab's Smart Processing strategy, which is at the center of Schwab's sustainable competitive advantage. Smart Processing requires end-to-end, ecosystem strategy, vision, planning, and execution. This drives tangible near-term benefits for Schwab and our clients, including greater scale via increased levels of automation, greater transparency into operational processes, and more efficient and personalized service. Smart Processing also drives our long-term strategy through creation of data assets that will power AI and Machine Learning applications leading to even greater scale, personalization, and speed to market for Schwab's next generation of products and features. In this role, you will assist with communications, program coordination, and partner management across the Smart Processing strategy, working with leaders across TST, Project Services and others to implement structure and processes to provide clear communication and transparency into the program. As a result, you will be a key contributor to advancing TST strategic programs. What you are good at- Organizing and coordinating program management activities to help advance initiatives within TST
- Active participation in the intake and prioritization processes for the TST organization
- Assisting in preparation of artifacts and results for partner and leadership review and publication, including tailoring messages appropriate to the audience
- Coordinating, facilitating and aggregating reporting of work stream status, key risks, and issues
- Growing program management, team collaboration, and knowledge tools to drive shared understanding and common standards across teams
- Ensuring that portfolio activities operate within the policies and procedures of the organization
- Supporting resource planning activities, including new employee onboarding coordination and support
- Logical and confident verbal communication
- Written communication including developing presentations for senior leadership i.e., storytelling and crafting visually compelling slides
- Support TST leadership on wide-ranging strategic and execution needs
- 1 - 3 years of Project/Program management experience
- Intermediate proficiency with MS Office tools such as Outlook, PowerPoint, Teams, and Excel
- Self-starter who can drive and complete outcomes with little oversight
- Possess a strong desire to grow project and program management related skills
- Focused and versatile teammate that is comfortable under pressure
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, as well as the ability to develop concise and effective communications tailored to specific audiences
- Highly organized and able to track multiple activities simultaneously
- Ability to navigate and be successful in a highly matrixed organization
- Strong collaboration skills
