Transportation Dispatcher

Rapidly growing aggregate hauling company seeking a dependable, on-site Dispatcher to function as a communication point for our trucks.

2 years’ experience required.

Responsibilities –

Oversee the scheduling, dispatching and routing of drivers

Enter truck, driver and load information to software and spreadsheets

Track loads and drivers

Communicate with drivers at regular intervals throughout each job

Identify potential service failures and work with the drivers to resolve issues

Communicate customer needs, and work with maintenance to resolve mechanical issues and reduce downtime, when necessary

Adjust dispatch plans and reallocate drivers as necessary to meet service needs (breakdowns, lateness ect.)

Maintain Proper personal/vacation time requests for drivers

Manage customer complaints and resolve any issues related to dispatch operations

Prioritize calls according to urgency and importance

Develop and implement strategies to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of dispatch operations

$20.00 -$25.00/hour depending on Experience
