Role Summary As a UI Designer you'll gain in-depth knowledge about the engineers who visit company's website and have a direct impact on customer-facing projects. This role will work ONSITE in North Dallas, TX alongside a large in-house design team responsible for the entire end-to-end customer experience across our client's website. As a UI Designer, you can expect to have these responsibilities:- Understand business goals, technical specifications and constraints
- Identify design problems and devise solutions
- Meet with partners to gather and evaluate user requirements
- Establish and translate visual design & functionality into wireframes, comps, high-fidelity prototypes, and functional specifications
- Illustrate design ideas using storyboards, user flows, etc.
- Coordinate with front-end designers and/or developers to match architecture to design requirements
- Participate in user acceptance tests (UATs), perform peer reviews and provide feedback
- Build working prototype of reusable/modular designs and contribute to an existing design system
- Provide design and other specification documentation
- Present designs to team leads, management and stakeholders
- Strong online portfolio demonstrating a range of UI/UX web-related design work is a must
- 3+ years designing engaging solutions based on a deep understanding of customer and business needs, site metrics and user testing
- Experience designing with and contributing to an established design system
- Good understanding of usability best practices and guidelines
- Excellent understanding of the design thinking process
- Ability to think critically and devise solutions with business and user goals in mind
- Passion for advocating user experience; ability to defend creative ideas and work when required
- Proficiency with one of the standard prototyping and design tools such as UXPin, Sketch, Figma, Axure as well as Adobe CC
- Follow brand guidelines utilizing visual design principles and image design standards
- Excellent facilitation and communication skills
- Strong interpersonal skills, work collaboratively with other team members
- A curious mind but know exactly when to ask the right questions
- Working knowledge of HTML and CSS
- Ability to juggle multiple projects and deadlines and detail oriented and results-driven
- Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer
- Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times
