Job Title: UI/UX Designer Location: 7800 Dallas North Tollway Suite 600 Plano Texas 75024 Direct Hire/Permanent position They had a design firm come in and do all of the initial design and wire-framing so that's all in-place. Those wire-frames need to be changed with the updates/adjustments they are making to the product. Software product designers are responsible for designing the User Interface (UI) and User Experience (UX) of an application. While business analysts are engaged with the business and market to understand requirements and implementation details, the product designers bring those details to life. A successful product designer will define precisely how a UI will look (screen mockups, text, images, controls, etc.) and streamline how the user is able to navigate through the product UI. The product designer will help build products that are easy to use and visually appealing to our current and potential customers. This individual will report to VP of Product Management and collaborate closely with business analysts and product managers. The product designer will design UI elements of our flagship SaaS product and create screen mockups, wireframes, and be an authority on visual elements (colors, images, fonts) to our development teams. Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Collaborates with product management staff to thoroughly understand the needs to be supported within our software products
  • Design UI screens that a development team can take and easily understand how the software should look and function
  • Define product specifications, create digital mockups, and design full-functional products
  • Set design requirements based on briefs from internal teams and external partners
  • Produce prototypes and test functionality
  • Improve the design of existing products
  • Work with the product management team and gather feedback from product users.
  • Provides recommendations regarding the evolution of the system
  • Maintains current understanding of industry standards, trends, and best practices through industry and other professional networks
Required Skills/Abilities:
  • Have an eye for color and shape and be able to translate requirements into practical product features
  • Experience with design programs (such as Zeplin, Illustrator, Sketch, etc.)
  • Familiarity with UI accessibility guidelines
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Extremely organized with great attention to detail
  • Creativity in mixing up colors, shapes and techniques
  • Ability to negotiate and settle differences quickly and peacefully
  • Time-management skills
  • Adaptability
Education and Experience:
  • Bachelors degree in Product Design, Information Technology, or related field required.
  • At least five to seven years of related experience.
