UI/UX Engineer

Position Description CGI Federal is seeking a UI/UX Engineer to support Black Label DevSecOps Platform, an infrastructure-agnostic platform, to support the Department of Defense's (DoD) vast infrastructure options, including - Government clouds, on premise, disconnected, and classified environments. CGI will provide Agile frameworks such as Kanban and Scrum as needed and will ensure all product backlog are properly defined and sized. Black Label is deploying DevSecOps Platform (DSOP) in multiple gov cloud environments from Unclassified to Top Secret, including Special Access Programs; with the intent to make these hybrid cloud solutions viable for OCO development.The candidate for this position will directly support building the DevSecOps platform.

Your future duties and responsibilities• Apply Human Centered Design methods on projects to understand, clarify, and visualize key information including: information structures, business processes, stakeholder relationships, mental models, user journeys, and key challenges and opportunities.• Craft and lead collaborative workshops to elicit input and direction, guide the conversation, and actively engage participants, working visually in real-time to express concepts and facilitate discussion.• Work closely with clients, users and team members to create compelling and cohesive user interface designs, as well as unified deliverables that adeptly tell the design story relative to the target audience.• Participate in the design, execution and analysis of user research• Confidently and professionally provide design leadership and guidance as a mentor within the Digital Transformation design team, and across project teams as the "expert."• Work collaboratively with other designers, developers, solution architects, and project managers throughout the software build process, resolving problems that arise by proposing and articulating design solutions, creating image assets, and defining specifications.

Required qualifications to be successful in this role• • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field and ten (10) years or more experience in business, engineering, technology and/or consulting• Experienced in Agile methodologies for defining/prioritizing backlog, leading problem resolution for both internal and external customers• Strong design and interpersonal skills to bridge the User experience to the technical implementation with developer• Demonstrated experience in the following:• - User-Centered Design• - Agile/Scrum• - User Experience• - Story Boarding and Visualization Tools• Setting quality standards for delivery, develops user story acceptance criteria, accepting stories and participating in team demos and retrospectives to validate quality• Experience with designing user experience products and story boarding• Defining minimum viable product (MVP) and effectively negotiates tradeoffs of conflicting priorities based on value to the business and customer• Due to the nature of the work, you must be a US citizen with an active TS/SCI clearance
