You will start as a full-time User Experience (UX) Designer in Digital Technology. The ECD program offers rotational training in key areas of digital technology during the initial 12-18 months of employment, to help build your knowledge and career development. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Bring user-centered design (UCD) process methods to digital solutions from concept to launch
- Develop the plan, oversee the process and give guidance to the teams that work with you
- Lead effective client presentations that create excitement and demonstrate how the creative delivers on the strategy
- Leverage knowledge of wider industry UX trends and relevant technology trends
- As you move from concepts to more detailed designs, create low and high fidelity prototypes that allow you to collaborate and quickly iterate ideas with the project team and get designs in front of end-users for validation
- Identify gaps between the current and the ideal user experience
- Continuously challenge the effectiveness of design, recommending changes, as appropriate
- An appreciation of commitment to safety leadership

- Ability to multitask and work well independently and in a team environment
- Ability to generate research ideas
- Bachelor degree or Masters/PhD in Electrical/Controls Engineering or equivalent, Computer Science or IT majors
- Minimum 3.0 GPA
- Background in controls and control logic programming with PLC experience
- Working knowledge of Logix 5000 or similar platform
- Understanding of the following from previous work/classes/research and/or relevant pervious jobs/internships:
- PLC ladder logic, HMI: Factory Talk. Rockwell software suite, C, C, C#
- Familiarity with software development lifecycle either in traditional waterfall or agile methodologies
- Skills in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint
- Ability to work in groups/teams, able to develop strong team relationships
- 1 to 3 years experience in actual software development projects as a UI/UX/UCD designer
- Experience in working with front-end web development or other teams
- Ability to suggest and implement design methods and processes
- A clear passion and enthusiasm for learning and pursuing your expertise, constantly challenging the definition of what makes good user experience
- Strong portfolio demonstrating your innovative work across multiple forums
- Experience with Agile, Design Sprints and Design Thinking
- Experience with modern design tools like Sketch, Figma, Canva or equivalent
- Ability to inspire people and work in a highly collaborative, team-based environment
- Experience in UX research, including planning, designing and facilitating user sessions and client workshops, analyzing findings and articulating results
