UX RESEARCHER Be part of the Data UX design team, helping internal partner with the discovery (User research: survey creation, user interview, user summary) phase of Data products. You will design and execute ethnographic research using various qualitative and quantitative methods that address business questions and further understanding of our customers and end-users.
  • Contract – to – hire position
  • Remote 3 days/in the office 2 days (Richardson, TX)
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Plan research approaches/activities for evaluating product features in an agile environment
  • Effectively work with multiple stakeholders' interests, priorities, and expectations while working on individual research projects
  • Have experience guiding teams to employ the best research methods for the problem, employing strategies to address stakeholder concerns and feedback
  • Be willing to teach and mentor designers in various research activities
  • Identify the best method or mix of methods based on research questions, timeline, and resourcing
  • Perform quick but thorough data analysis to create insightful and actionable findings
  • Apply problem-solving skills to analyze situations, identify existing or potential problems and recommend solutions
  • Collect and analyze user behavior via interviews, surveys, and product usage data.
  • Evangelize research findings to diverse audiences through written reports and oral presentations.
  • Collaborate with UI designers, product owners, and end-users across the globe
EDUCATION and EXPERIENCE
  • Bachelor's degree (BA/BS) in a related field.
  • Master's degree in Human Computer Interaction or a related field is preferred.
  • Typically has a minimum of 4 years of relevant work experience. (Consideration given to an equivalent combination of education and experience.)
COMMUNICATION SKILLS Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Strong organizational and analytical skills. Ability to provide efficient, timely, reliable, and courteous service to customers. Ability to effectively present information. FINANCIAL KNOWLEDGE Ability to comprehend basic commercial real-estate terms, but not required to perform an analysis independently. REASONING ABILITY Ability to comprehend, analyze, and interpret documents. Ability to solve problems involving several options in situations. Requires intermediate analytical and quantitative skills. OTHER SKILLS and ABILITIES 3+ years of minimum experience as a UX ResearcherStrong understanding of evaluative research methods, surveys, and product success metrics.A deep instinct for evaluating product success, including characterizing usage patterns, identifying adoption blockers/opportunities, and creating actionable product recommendations for cross-functional stakeholders. SCOPE OF RESPONSIBILITY Decisions made with an understanding of procedures and company policies to achieve set results and deadlines. Responsible for setting own project deadlines. Errors in judgment may cause short-term impact to co-workers and supervisor.
