As a level II trauma center with over 220 beds, CHI St. Joseph Health Regional Hospital is the most experienced in the region and backed 24/7 by trauma surgeons and specialists in orthopedic surgery, neurosurgery, cardiothoracic surgery, facial and plastic surgery, anesthesiology, radiology, critical care and more.ResponsibilitiesAs a Valve Navigator RN, you will be responsible for facilitating the coordination of patient care services to assure excellence in patient care and patient flow.Additonal responsbilities for this role:Identifying patients through Echo Alert process as well as within the practice of CentralTexas Heart.

Following patients from identification of stenosis to eventual treatment.

Maintaining patient registry.

Overseeing development & maintenance of policies, procedures, etc.

Insuring ongoing process improvement.

Assisting with timely access to care by coordinating/facilitating and verifying appointments for aorticstenosis patients.

Provide seamless referrals to resources to ensure elimination of barriers to care.

Performs other duties as assigned to meet the organization`s needsQualificationsEducationRequired: ADN or Diploma

Experience2 - 5 years cardiac nursing experience

SkillsKnowledge base regarding cardiovascular care and specialty area of navigation with education tosupport that knowledge base to include community and cardiac program assessment, resolution system barriers, the cardiac continuum, health disparities and cultural sensitivity

Licensure/CertificationsRequired: Current RN license

Preferred: Certification in cardiovascular nursing (required within 1.5 years of hire)
