Vehicle and small equipment mechanic

Job Summary:

What you’ll do:

Perform thorough automotive and equipment diagnostics to identify issues and recommend solutions.

Execute repairs on various vehicle systems, including engines, transmissions, brakes, electrical systems and equipment like bumper pull compressors, power washers and small engine pumps.

Conduct routine maintenance tasks such as oil changes, tire service, and preventative maintenance.

Utilize hand tools and power tools effectively to complete repairs efficiently and safely while utilizing all required PPE.

Interpret schematics for complex repairs and ensure all work meets safety standards.

Provide exceptional service by explaining repairs and maintenance needs clearly.

Collaborate with team members to enhance workflow and share knowledge on best practices.

Maintain accurate records of services performed and parts used for each vehicle and piece of equipment.

Basic qualifications:

Proven experience as an Automotive Mechanic with a strong mechanical knowledge base.

Preferred qualifications

Experience working in a field support maintenance environment.

Familiarity with diesel engine repair, small and large gas engine repair, scan tool and electrical diagnostics, as well as semi trucks and air brake systems.

Proficiency in automotive electrical systems and auto body repair.

Skills in welding, fabrication and auto estimating are advantageous.

Knowledge of GM, Ford and Ram vehicles is a plus.
