We are looking for an experienced Vehicle Integration Technician who is familiar with new product introduction, system-level integration, and has experience working cross functionally with operations and engineering teams.

In this role, you will:

Hands-on work with mechanical, electrical, and software systems to execute test plans, analyze data, submit reports and work with other teams on how to improve tested systems

Lead and support engineering test activities by applying engineering practices, principles, and various analysis tools to achieve performance targets and standards

Troubleshoot and debug issues in the field, and trace failures to correct subsystems

Provide Design-For-Manufacturing feedback for low to mid-volume manufacturing processes

Inspect hardware quality at various levels and resolve manufacturing/build issues

Install, remove, calibrate and troubleshoot of sensors such as lidars, radars, cameras, and GPS

Install, remove, flash/configure of Embedded computers/Electronic control units (ECUs)

Install, remove, fabricate, and troubleshoot of harnessing for CAN, 12V, 24V, ethernet, automotive ethernet, and high-speed coax systems and protocols

Install, remove, and calibrate test and data acquisition equipment

Provide written and verbal feedback/reports to mechanical, electrical, and vehicle integration engineers on system manufacturability and serviceability.

Create and run functional verification procedures on sensor and compute subsystems

Generate reports on field failures, support engineering investigations, and help implement corrective actions/mitigations

Create and review documentation such as drawings, schematics, build instructions, and incoming hardware quality tests/checks

Develop and perform corrective and preventative actions for top failure modes

What you'll bring:

Strong technical background. 5+ years of experience as a technician in the autonomous, automotive, aerospace or related industry

Proven ability to build and iterate quickly. You have experienced product development in all stages and feel comfortable in the earlier stages – moving from zero to one

Hands on. You are just as comfortable with a wrench as a keyboard. You have a deep understanding of manufacturing processes for both low and high volume production

Great communicator. You have experience writing clear, concise, and detailed documentation. You are skilled in leading and participating in cross-functional design reviews

Experience with CAD packages such as SolidWorks, NX, Catia, and/or Creo

Experience with scripting and data analysis languages such as Python or Matlab

Experience and knowledge around instrumentation using a wide variety of sensors (strain gauges, thermocouples, load cells, etc)

You are confident with automotive electronics and are familiar with communication protocols and tools such as Ethernet, CAN, LIN, 100BASE-T1
