Responsible for maintaining the computer systems, server management including installing, maintaining and upgrading the servers. Will ensure the servers are backed up, and that the server data is secure from unauthorized access. May also produce and create reports, charts, manuals proposals and perform light programming (scripting). Must be able to plan, coordinate and implement software version changes and use utility tools to monitor elements of the system, such as memory, central processing unit (CPU) and program errors generated from a system or software problem. Must also have knowledge in systems design and configuration. Strong verbal and written communication skills is required. Candidate should possess 5+ years experience in an Enterprise Level Distributed Data Center environment with a focus on the following:
  • Virtualization/VMware with in-depth knowledge of vSphere/ESXi
  • A solid understanding of server, network and storage principals and architecture
  • Advance knowledge of OS internals with systems administration in Windows and/or Linux OS a plus
  • Ability to perform advanced troubleshooting of OS, storage and network components
  • Experience in deployment and management of a large Data Center server, storage or network environment
  • Experience with Cisco UCS and enterprise class switches and routers
  • Knowledge of Ethernet(E/FE/Client) and analysis of TCP/IP, HSRP, VRRP, LDAP, multicast (PIM/CGMP/IGMP) and other protocols is a plus
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills, ability to effectively communicate with all levels of management and manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment
  • Must demonstrate ability to perform and respond well in crisis situations
  • Ability to work independently and in a collaborative team environment
  • Ability to set clear goals/direction and gather the necessary support from team members or vendors to ensure that goals are met/followed.
