Citi is seeking a Commodities Financial Analyst to join our team in Houston, TX. This is a hybrid role with the employee reporting into the Houston office 3 days per week.The Commodities Lead Analyst is a senior level position responsible for leading efforts that ensure the completeness, accuracy and integrity of the bank's books and records in coordination with the Finance team. The overall objective of this role is to drive efforts to control and support data integrity and general ledger reconciliation, profit attribution and new activity analysis, valuation control and product P&L and balance sheet reporting.Responsibilities:Develop and maintain in-depth knowledge of Finance industry trends
Communicate across all levels of the organization including senior management and key stakeholders
Train and develop junior level team members
Act as the team's subject matter expert
Work collaboratively with traders on the floor and teams throughout the organization
Qualifications:6 + years of relevant experience
Consistently demonstrates clear and concise written and verbal communication
Experience in the commodities markets required. Gas, oil, power commodities trading knowledge preferred
Experience mentoring/leadership
Strong Excel skills
Knime, Python, PowerBI or SQL knowledge beneficial
Previous involvement in special projects preferred
Education:Bachelor’s degree
Master’s degree preferred
