VP, Lead Software Developer, Business Automation

VP, Lead Software Developer, Business Automation (Pacific Investment Management Company LLC (PIMCO)–Austin, TX); Multiple positions available. Serve as a technical program manager to progress the build out and management of the Business Process automation teams, focused on building out technology driven solutions to automate Operations business processes. Lead the Business Process Automation team to focus on the delivery of end-to-end business solutions to replace highly manual business processes with little to no touch technology solutions. Utilize a growing range of technology solutions such as ETL, business intelligence, low-code solutions and various programming languages. Serve as the hands-on technology lead that is able to understand business processes, architect automated solutions and manage the teams to build in a quick and efficient manner. Define cross-functional and cross-departmental dependencies and identify key milestones and critical paths. Partner with the business and use technology to proactively manage the scope and development of risk mitigation strategies to ensure successful program outcomes. Ensure alignment on goals and plans designed to deliver incremental business value. Position based in Austin, TX. Telecommuting permitted up to one day per week.

Requires a Master’s degree (or foreign equivalent) in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Applied Computer Science, or a related field, plus 2 years of experience with software engineering. In lieu of a Master’s degree in a stated field and 2 years of experience, as stated, will accept a Bachelor’s degree in a stated field and 5 years of experience with software engineering. Must have two years of experience in each of the following: Systems Engineering; Agile Project Management Methodology; Python or equivalent scripting languages; Job Scheduling; Automated Testing; Implementing extendable and testable technology in an Agile Environment; ASP.NET or equivalent; C#, Java, C or equivalent Object Oriented language; and Oracle, Sybase, SQL Server or equivalent. Experience may be gained concurrently. Position based in Austin, TX. Telecommuting permitted up to one day per week.
