Job Summary:Caterpillar's Industrial Power Systems Division has opportunities for full-time, temp-to-permanent careers in our Logistics department. As a warehouse associate, your responsibility will be to assist in the production of large diesel engines and generators that power the world. Operate forklifts, tuggers, and other power equipment to move materials within the facility
Deliver, pick, move, and remove materials accurately and efficiently
Load and off-load materials on trailers
Check, tag, and repack various material
Ensure that parts and materials used in the assembly process are free from quality defects
Submit and assist with the resolution of Continuous Improvement Cards
Follow standard operating procedures and area-specific work instructions
Report to Section Managers and be assigned to departments within the business to meet customer and company demandsAll other duties as assigned
What you will have:
Willingness to learn and operate power equipment
Ability to work well with others
Ability to read, write, and interpret documents in English
Willingness to work a set schedule including overtime when needed
What would make you a top candidate:
Forklift and power equipment experience or operating heavy machinery
Previous experience in manufacturing, assembly line, or logistics
Experience with Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
Physical Requirements (with or without reasonable accommodation)
Ability to sit or stand for prolonged periods
Ability to perform repetitive operations
Ability to lift up to 35 pounds
Shift Opportunities:1 st Shift : Monday - Thursday 6:00AM-4:30PM. Overtime as required2 nd Shift : Monday - Thursday 4:30PM-3:00AM. Overtime as requiredWhat you will get:
$16.00 per hour 1 st shift
$17.60 per hour 2 nd shift
