Warehouse Supervisor

Job Summary

The Warehouse Supervisor oversees daily warehouse operations to ensure efficient, accurate, and safe handling of inventory, shipments, and staff activities. This role is responsible for supervising warehouse associates, maintaining inventory accuracy, coordinating shipments, and ensuring compliance with company policies and safety standards.

Key Responsibilities

Supervise and coordinate daily warehouse activities including receiving, storing, picking, packing, and shipping.

Lead, train, and evaluate warehouse staff to ensure productivity, accuracy, and adherence to safety protocols.

Monitor and maintain inventory levels; conduct regular cycle counts and reconcile discrepancies.

Oversee order fulfillment to meet customer and production deadlines.

Ensure all warehouse operations comply with company policies and safety standards.

Maintain and improve warehouse layout and processes for maximum efficiency.

Operate and ensure proper maintenance of warehouse equipment (e.g., forklifts, pallet jacks, scanners).

Assist in planning staffing needs and scheduling shifts.

Education & Experience:

High school diploma or GED required; Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain, or related field preferred.

3–5 years of experience in warehouse operations, including at least 1–2 years in a supervisory or lead role.

Skills & Competencies:

Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.

Knowledge of inventory control principles and shipping/receiving procedures.

Ability to lift and move heavy objects (up to 50 lbs) and operate warehouse equipment safely.

Problem-solving mindset with attention to detail and accuracy.

Working Conditions

Fast-paced warehouse environment.

May require evening, weekend, or overtime shifts depending on business needs.

Exposure to noise, temperature variations, and heavy equipment.
